The restaurant Reno with its striking luxurious modern architecture insidewas was converted in 1961. Architects Correa and Milà successfully combined the feel of turn-of-the-century Catalan Modernism with the style of the 1960s: stretch carpeting, rice-paper wall panelling, black leather sofas round the walls, and a muted colour scheme all characterize the room. They placed the small tables so close together on purpose, so that the conversations at the neighbouring table would be audible - in the style of French bistros. Nevertheless the Reno is very suitable for business meals, since there are separate rooms off the main hall that are ideal for undisturbed meetings.
